I've lived through so many wars, so may catastrophes, so many deaths.
I've received many injuries and given quite a lot too.
Yet I cannot find a greater pain than an emotional... Either in purpose or not...
I rather receive a million physical injuries than an emotional one to which there is no cure, to which there is no break.
It's always there....
[Independent RP account for Dark!America, he'sa bit depress at the moment.]
Alfred just looked back at the startled expression on the other’s face. He knew that hugging and kissing his shoulder wasn’t the normal reaction to when a person sees a bruised man, but he couldn’t help it. He didn’t want to run away. What would he be running away from? Scars that weren’t even his own? Sure, he wanted to cringe, but that was because he could imagine what it felt like to receive those bruises.
He also knew that cussing and leaving him wouldn’t make the situation any better. After all, it wasn’t entirely the othes fault that he had all those bruises, right? But either way, Alfred didn’t care. He knew they’d fade away with time, so there was no point in making it all do dramatic.
Not that he wanted to, anyways.
Instead of bringing up what he thought about it all, he whispered out, “I love you.”
“Why?” He whispered back quickly, his mind still not believing this was happening. His eyes looking down at the bed. It was unfair how the other wasn’t affected by the sight… Why was he not affected by it? Alfred… “Why does it always seem that you’re stronger than I am?” He did not realize he had whispered that last part; he clenched his hands into fist, his tears threatening to spill at any moment.
“Why?” He whispered once more, his hands slowly moving up to cover himself. “Why do you still love me after all this…. Why aren’t you running away?” The question were more at himself then at Alfred, but of course Alfred heard them. It was all so complicated for him, he was sure this would have send the other running away, but it didn’t.
A bitter laugh escaped the other as he shook his head, the tears finally falling once more, “you’re crazy… you really are damn it…” Without thinking, he leaned back, his bare back touching the cold wall behind.
“Crazy…” he whispered once more, a sort of creepy smile on his face as he thought of all this.
Alfred sat up and watched the other. He noticed him hesitate and quietly begged for him to sit up, hoping that he didn’t change him mind. He was relieved when he did sit up, moving a bit so the other could get comfortable. He focused his full attention on him, sometimes flickering his eyes down to where the other messed with the hem of his own shirt. But once he took his shirt off, Alfred couldn’t hold back the gasp the formed in the back of his throat.
There we so many. Bruise after bruise after bruise. Scratch after scratch. He knew that some of them the other had done to himself, but others looked a bit too brutal to be self-made. Oh, the pain he must’ve gone through…
And Alfred still found him to be the most beautiful man on this very Earth.
He quietly hugged him, being as gentle as possible. He suddenly seemed so fragile in his arms; his skin warm and smooth. Alfred kissed his shoulder before pulling back up to look at him.
The gasp made him flinch, he expected it though, even he gasped the first time he saw how bad he was, at that time everything was fresh and hurt as hell, but now it was nothing, they were healing that was sure, but they still look nasty. Alfred frowned at this, maybe it wasn’t such a good idea… Was that gasp a bad sign? Either way he refused to look up.
The hug startled him, not expecting that, he had imagined maybe yelling, name calling, repulsing reaction, but not a hug. The kiss was more startling than the hug itself, making him gasp quietly as the other did this. Why was he doing this? Why wasn’t he running away? It confused him, yet it made him really happy that he didn’t ran away.
Alfred stare at the other, his surprised visible in his face, he could not get over the fact that Alfred was still there, still looking at him with nothing but concern and love. How could such a nice creature be his?
“Cheese cake isn’t even that cheesy!” He laughed, trying not to be loud to wake up Dave. “It’s more creamer than cheesy. It’s like…” He pursed his lips, his mind off somewhere into the land of cheese cakes. There were so many different types of cheese cakes that he just couldn’t explain the exact definition of them all. They weren’t all definetly creamy, but they all did have some sort of similar flavour—
His thoughts were interrupted when he felt a body press against him with a small gasp. He suppressed the urge to press back, not sure if the other wanted it just yet. Alfred knew he was just reacting to the kiss under his ear, which he remembered was a sweet spot he had discovered a while back. A resisted to smirk at the thought, but couldn’t help it and ended up hiding one.
He looked down at him when he began to caress his cheek, his full attention on the other. “Sure, sure. You want me to sit up so you can show me better?”
Alfred bit his lower lip once more, nervously chewing on it as he thought about this; in the end he nodded and waited for the other to sit up. Slowly, Alfred sat up as well, his nervousness taking over him as soon as he did. Was this a good idea? He look down at the bed, his eyes tracing over the wrinkles created by them. He could do this, right? It wasn’t such a big deal, after all, it was Alfred…
Sighing softly, the blond slowly reached for the hem of his shirt, not daring to look at Alfred, as he took the shirt off. He dropped the shirt to the floor, his eyes never meeting the others as he let him see all the new bruises and cuts, some self administrated, other by pure idiotic motives of going out and drinking himself senseless. The blond closed his eyes and involuntarily crossed his right arm in front of his chest, trying to slightly cover himself.
Alfred paused for a moment, trying to take in what the other said. The other was just sending him mixed messages, and that sort of him confused. He narrowed his eyes and pursed his lips in thought. Does he want to do it, or does he not? That is the question…
“Well…” He said slowly, turning his head slightly. He knew he should say something romantic, cheesy, just to get the other to relax a bit. “I could wait a million years until you feel ready to.” He smiled, knowing he had said the right words, and kissed a spot right under the other’s ear.
He tried hard not to laugh, but still end up snorting at what the other said, “God, Alfred, that was cheesier than fucking cheese cake,” he said, smiling at the other and cursing himself for being a sucker for cheesy lines. Slowly, e bit his lower lip as he looked at the other, Alfred was indeed wonderful and he knew him so well… It was amazing how months ago they were ready to kill each other.
Closing his eyes quickly, Alfred gasped loudly as the other kissed a special spot under his ear, sending shivers down his back. Unconsciously, he leaned towards the other, his lips spreading into a relax smile, but he quickly stopped himself and leaned back, his eyes opening to look at the other. He did wanted to do it as well… Maybe as much as the other wanted to, but his mind wouldn’t stop bugging him about his “problems.” Finally sighing, the blond reach out to softly caress the others’ cheek.
“If we are going to do this… At least let me show you what I’m talking about before hand…” he said, his cheeks heating up as he said this.
Alfred could feel his heart skip a beat when the other smiled that way, his own silly grin spreading around his face. His cheeks was dusted with the color of pink, but he honestly didn’t know what he was blushing about. He shrugged off the thought and blamed the other for making him feel so giddy all over again.
He leaned forward and nuzzled at his cheek, trying to get his attention back from their hands. “I don’t want to force you to do this. I’m fine if you don’t wanna do it.” And he really was. As much as he wanted it, he wanted the other to be comfortable more.
His smile turned into a small grin as the other nuzzled his cheek, feeling giddy and stupid for reacting like this, but shrugging off the thoughts before he did something that he would regret later. Alfred sighed and kept his eye on his hands, yet his attention was on the American nuzzling his cheek.
“And I don’t want to make you wait…” He whispered softly, his cheeks heating up as he said this words. They never seem to be in an agreement, although Alfred knew the reasons behind the others’ thoughts, he couldn’t bring himself to make him do another thing for his sake today again.
